Meet and network at conference

SEVERAL interesting activities have been lined up in conjunction with the Globalising Higher Education in Malaysia conference organised by The Star and The Asian Centre for Media Studies.

Ample opportunities will be given during the conference for universities and colleges to publicise their programmes as well as to network with one another. They include green room sessions, exhibition counters and presentation rooms.

The green room is an informal one-to-one meeting area reserved for participants who want to conduct private meetings with other participants. It will enable participants to promote their programmes and allow Malaysians to establish contacts with international presenters and participants.

The organising committee will help to facilitate requests to meet certain participants or speakers at the conference. However, the facilitation is based on willing parties.

Although the green room is available throughout the conference, the organisers will only facilitate meetings on the second day, after the conference proper from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. The conference, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur from Aug 18 to 19, will feature an exhibition area outside the foyer which is open to the public.

Among the distinguished scholars who will be talking at the conference is Prof Dr Ishwar who will speak on Academia- Industry collaboration:Excellence in research and teaching. – filepic
